Why CAVE and powerwall differ from headset VR
In a VR CAVE or at a powerwall, several people share a large tracking volume at the same time. Unlike headset-only VR, the focus is on collaborative engineering, design reviews, and simulation — often with real vehicle or product models in the room.
This requires precise optical 6DOF tracking: position and orientation of head-mounted displays, tools, and objects must remain stable and synchronized — across many square metres and often with multiple users.
Marker-based tracking with DTRACK
